Clemmons: Research & Development BA
David began his fundraising activities at age 7 for the Association
for Retarded Citizens in Charles City County, VA. The Grand
Total of $163.10 earned him a trophy that launched an enthusiasm
for NPO's that has never waned.
In
1995 he directed his efforts to Youth Violence Prevention
in San Diego County. Working with municipal, business and
community leaders, David led the development and launch of
youth centers within urban and inner city housing projects.
These centers provided youth with activities and learning
opportunities during critical before and after school hours.
David’s
proactive development process has included the involvement
of youth in the community through volunteerism. He is a board
member of Kids Korps USA, a unique national youth volunteerism
program based in San Diego.
As
a member of numerous non-profit boards and coalitions, he
is an integral part of Catalyst and its efforts to match NPO's
and Corporate Partners in Cause Partnerships.
His
experience with Grantmakers, Grantwriting, Policies & Procedures,
Board Development, Strategic Planning, and NPO Management
makes him an invaluable asset for Catalyst and its Clients.
